Happy Tuesday everyone! How was your weekend? I was pretty much stuck at home doing the #MakeMeRead readathon A WEEK AFTER I DID THE #AZDiverse readathon! Whew! I didn’t know I could read as fast as I did, but hey, I did pretty well.
Anywho, this weeks’ TTT is about MOI! YES ME, THE BLOGGER! If you don’t already know me. ANYWAY.
Do you want to get to know me better? If you do,
PLEASE
READ
ON!
Aesop’s Fables
My great grandmother told me stories about the turtle and the hare, the monkey and the turtle were my favorites! I believe she embellished and told me other stories that were totally made up but I LOVED THEM! I used to visit my great grandmother who lived with my grandparents on the weekends and I would badger her to tell me MOAR! I was between the ages 5-8 and my grandparents had a coconut tree in front of their house and a lot of huge big green lizards and she loved to make-up stories about those. Gah, I miss those days.
Documentaries
I absolutely watching documentaries, preferably anything about history, also English history, and I swear I passed Renaissance English Lit because of my love for these documentaries. I’m also fascinated with the decades (the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, etc). And I have no idea why. Oh, and yes, ALIENS! Ancient Aliens and anything about conspiracy theories! And let’s not forget about SPACE! Sometimes, I watch WWII documentaries. I know I’m weird. But hey, I actually get emails from Netflix letting me know that there are new documentaries available! XD
Greek Mythology
Anther fascination I had when I was about 8-ish was Greek Mythology. My cousin had illustrated children’s book about Greek Mythology that I just gobbled up! It’s those short hardback illustrated classics (can’t remember who published those) that I gobbled up! At that tender age, I knew about Jason and the Argonauts (Jason and the Golden Fleece), Perseus and the Minotaur, Hercules and the 12 Labors and so on. I MEAN THEY ARE SO FASCINATING, NO WONDER I LOVE GREEK MYTHOS!
Disney
I basically grew up on Disney. I had a VHS copy of EVERY animated feature film until I was in high school and until Disney stopped making animated ones and started doing more CGI films. That doesn’t mean I didn’t watch those, only that I didn’t get a copy. See, I grew up in a small city in the Philippines and we didn’t have those films available for purchase. Luckily my mom was living in the US and sent one every year. Also, that was the ONLY time I knew what Disney was working on next because I could see the previews. YES, THERE WAS NO INTERNET YET! THE HORROR! XD
Fan Fic
OMG GUYS! In middle school, I used to write Sweet Valley fan fics! AHAHAHA NO you MAY NOT READ THEM because I absolutely have no idea where they are! The best part? Picking character names! I know this is super mainstream but back then in the mid-90s, without the Internet (well, we didn’t have Internet yet), I never heard of fan fiction, only that I wrote characters inspired by my favorite series, Sweet Valley!
Poetry
Shortly after I was writing fan fic (see above), I started high school. Naturally, I was an angsty teenager and was more into writing gothic poetry about feelings and death and all those gothic-ness. I laugh just thinking about that. I still have some of my writings, but I can’t find my more angsty ones, just the lovey dovey ones. *wink
Introvert
I am an introvert. I only have a few friends and I don’t care. OKAY, I have come out of my shell, well, sort of, but I’m still an introvert at heart!
I started blogging in 1998
Gaaahh, I can’t believe how far I’ve come! But yeah, before the blog was the IN thing, I was already blogging. I think I was on GoPlay then and I was hooked. A lot of blog and blog changes later, you have THIS, my latest blog that I have kept running for three years!
I can only think of 8 random things right now, so I will leave you with that! Hope you had fun getting to know me! Now, let’s get to know YOU!
So, tell me about YOU! I REALLY WANT TO KNOW!
Link me up or leave a comment!
I grew up on Disney VHS too and I miss them, I have a friend that still has all of hers 🙂
I still have mine, too! Only they’re back in my hometown 🙂
Wow, you’ve been blogging, like forever!! I’m also an introvert.

I have been blogging unsuccessfully since 1998… XD
Also YAY to introverts!
It’s so interesting how so many of us opened up about our mostly introverted personalities hehe.

It is! I gathered that a lot of readers are introverts because of the nature of this hobby, but also super happy that a lot of us are coming out of our shell!
You started blogging in 1998!?!?! I am impressed, holy crap! I had *just* gotten internet in 1998 and was basically only concerned with AIM and email surveys ?
It’s so nice that you have such lovely memories with your great-grandparents as well, your great grandmother sounds amazing! I don’t think I am an introvert actually. I am like… anxious around new people, but really, at heart I think I am not so introverted. And I don’t understand poetry, you shall have to teach me 😉 OH! And I have to say that I LOVE that you wrote fanfic about Sweet Valley- I remember the first time that I realized that The Baby-Sitters Club fanfic was a “thing”- everyone wanted them all basically hooking up with each other all the time! Thanks so much for sharing these with us!!

We first had Internet in 1997 along with my very first Windows 95 desktop! Am I that old?! I did a lot of mIRC chatting back then… now I KNOW it’s scary…. *shudder but I think it was on goPlay and I was “trying” to make “site” then I discovered Blogger a few years later 🙂
I KNOW! The fanfic was even BEFORE computers and I wrote them by hand! I didn’t share those stories anyway and I doubt that I could find them now! LOL
I dont know you. ?
OMG WHAT?!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
