Happy Tuesday, Wormies! I wasn’t able to post last week and I know that I won’t be able to come up with favorite quotes for this weeks’ post so I decided to do last weeks topic instead! The reason why I won’t have quotes for this weeks’ topic is that I don’t take down notes when reading and I also don’t take note of quotes. I know, I suck.
Anyway, last weeks’ topic is perfect for me because I LOVE to reread books! In fact, some of my books are so battered they are falling apart because I have read them multiple times! The books that I usually reread are some of my absolute favorite books, too!
Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas
I’m pretty sure this book is my very first Lisa Kleypas book and it is one of my favorite historical romances! I have reread this multiple times and I still keep falling in love all over again! McKenna is one of my favorite heroes, too!
Between the Devil and Desire by Lorraine Heath
Lorraine Heath is another go-to historical romance author. I have read and reread a lot of her books. But one of my favorites will have to be Between the Devil and Desire, which is actually the second book in her Scoundrels of St. James series. I love Dodger and I love how he redeemed himself! He was a significant side character in the first book, too!
Lions and Lace by Meagan McKinney
review
Lions and Lace is the first Gilded Age romance that I read and I was hooked! This is also an old-school historical romance but it feels like such a modern read! I also love that this book is set in New York since I mostly read historicals set in Europe!
The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne
review
One of my favorite characters in historical romance is someone who is not of the aristocracy. The Hunter features an assassin and an actress and features the most emotional and heartbreaking epilogue ever. I was ugly crying the whole time!
Secret Desires of a Gentleman by Laura Lee Guhrke
The Girl Bachelor’s series is one of my favorite series to re-read! Secret Desires features an unrequited love trope and love between different social classes, which are tropes that I absolutely LOVE! Secret Desires also features a chef heroine and there may be mentions of food and petit fours in the book. This series has a lot of re-readable books, but this is hands down my favorite!
Nine Rule to Break while Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean
review
One of my favorite books by Sarah MacLean is the first book in her Love by Numbers series! I was so charmed by this book and I have read this multiple times as well! This is a MUST read if you ever want to read historical romance.
Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
review
I have never been a paranormal romance reader but OMG, when I read Halfway to the Grave I was hooked! Jeaniene Frost really wrote amazing characters in Kat and Bones. Also BONES! OMG! If you are a fan of vampires, THIS is the vampire book that you should read!
All Chained Up by Sophie Jordan
review
This book broke me. WOW! I LOVE it and I have read this book AND listened to it on audio multiple times and I tell you, it’s even BETTER on audio! It’s narrated by Christian Fox and even if I am not a fan of male narrators, he did a fantastic job. In fact, I may re-read this book again this year!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
One of my favorite middle-grade books is still one of my favorite books to re-read! The joy and wonder that Harry feels when he finds out about the wizarding world is so amazing and it always takes me back to my childhood! I’ve listened to this on audiobook, too!
Cress by Marissa Meyer
review
I LOVE The Lunar Chronicles but my favorite book to re-read in the series is Cress. I mean, I HAVE re-read the whole TLC books multiple times and all of them are amazing, but Cress will always have my love. I mean, there is THORNE! ???
What are your favorite books? Do you love to re-read books multiple times?
Have you read any of the books I listed? Which one is your favorite?
Added some of these to my TBR! Thanks for sharing! 😀

You’re welcome, Flavia! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!
I have reread most of Lisa Kleypas’ books, including McKenna (love him!). I love the Wallflowers & Hathaways, and Dreaming of You. Loretta Chase’s Lord of Scoundrels. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley. Kristan Higgins, The Next Best Thing and The Best Man, among most of her other romances. Rachel Gibson – Rescue Me; Truly, Madly Yours; The Trouble With Valentine’s Day. Laura Florand – really anything by her, but my favorites are Once Upon a Rose & The Chocolate Touch. Oh, and Jennifer Crusie’s Bet Me. I have reread all of these books and many more!
I’ve read (and reread) all of Kleypas’ historical romances! She is one of my faves but I did my best not to list an author twice! ☺️ I just read Rachel Gibson last year and I enjoyed the 2 books that I read.
Ive only read Cress from your list but its one of my favorites too. I heard the audiobook series with my kids and they loved it as well. We can do a relisten soon.
I’ve reread the whole series 3 times now, I think… and the audio is fun! It’s read by Rebecca Soler and she does an awesome job!
I agree with Harry Potter. Every time I reread that series, I notice something new.

Me too! I feel like every time I read the first book, it feels like it’s my first time visiting Diagon Alley or Hogwarts!
I also don’t take notes on quotes but I shared some of my favorite quotes from Pinterest. I love Harry Potter and the series made my list too.

I know! It’s really hard to keep track! Even if I have a kindle for highlighting quotes. I probably only made note of a couple fave quotes. Otherwise, I look at the Goodreads quotes section. LMAO
I am not a re-reader. There are too many books I still haven’t read, and I already know the story, so why not read a new one instead. I know people enjoy re-reading, re-watching, etc, and find some comfort in it, and I guess that’s what I get from the predictability of an HEA romance.

I know some people who don’t like to re-read. And that is okay! I am one of those who find comfort in re-reading. I also skip some boring parts when I re-read so I usually finish it faster than a new read. 😀
