Last month on I Heart Romance & YA
September was a busy time for me! This was my vacation time and I have to say that it drained a lot of energy from me!
During the first week of September, we went to San Diego, a week later, I went to Disneyland with Crystal @ Crystal Blogs Books. Then the week after that, I went to the Historical Romance Retreat (my wrap-up for the event will be sometime in a week or two because I just didn’t have the time this month), then I went to Disneyland again with Pierre and now, we’re currently in Vegas – well, once this post goes live, we will be flying back to California. This concludes my busy September and hopefully, I’ll be back to blogging and reading!
Unfortunately, I only read 12 books this month as compared to 19 in August and 27 in July! Yeah, I’m definitely slacking. I guess I’m not worrying too much because I reached my reading goal already! I just need to review more books before the end of the year!

Your vacation sounds awesome. I would love to see San Diego and Disney. I haven’t had a vacation since 2015. Have a great October!

We usually go on shorter vacations and we reserve the longer ones for when we go on vacation in our hometown which is in another country so we don’t go often 🙁
My September, I stuck close to home. Didn’t really do much but celebrate my nephew’s sons first birthday. That was fun! I’m looking forward to seeing your recap of the Historical retreat thing you went to. I’m mighty curious about that.
So what were your favorite books of the month and your least favorites?
I hope October treats you well, Zee!

Ohhh birthdays are awesome! I still have to write the HRR wrap-up… haha
Also, I DNF’d Bad for You by J. Daniels… it was meeeh.. I think my best was Runaway Girl.
I didn’t read as much in September either but I’m almost to my reading challenge goal so I’m okay with that. See my September wrap up at Girl Who Reads
That’s awesome, Donna!
Glad you enjoyed your vacation! Welcome back!

Ohh hope you have fun on your vacation, Renee!
I wasn’t on vacation this summer; did a lot of work on the house instead. But I am headed to Atlanta in November and then San Diego in January. Looks like you had a productive month despite being busy. Happy October!

Looks like you’re going to be on vacation in the next few months! I’ve never been to Atlanta!
It looks like you had some great reads this month! I can’t wait to hear about the historical romance retreat
I’m gonna be writing that post soon!
I like the selection of books for your September reads. In September, I was granted an ARC of an Agatha Christie style mystery called The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and I loved it. It’s been so long since I’ve read an adult murder mystery and this one was truly unique. I hope your October is very bookish!
I haven’t read Agatha Christie before but it’s awesome that you got an ARC! Hope you enjoy the rest of your October!
