Last month’s deets on I Heart Romance & YA
Happy NEW MONTH everyone! It’s December and it’s ALMOST Christmas! I am especially happy for the holidays because I get to DIY Christmas gifts and Pierre is going to be home! This means, FOOOOD! Also, I can finally see Coco and Star Wars: The Last Jedi! I will be waiting for Pierre so we can see both movies together (I know Star Wars is not out yet).
Anyway, November was unusual for me because I gobbled up A LOT of contemporary romances! To be honest, I didn’t enjoy the historicals that I got and I kept hopping from one book to another. Let’s just say that it was an amazing contemporary binge read/listen during Thanksgiving weekend.
I also finished decorating for Christmas! I mean, yeah I put up the tree already, but I still need to get Christmas stockings for the fireplace mantle. I also need to decorate our front porch and I have been dragging my feet for about a couple of weeks now. 🙁
I have met 3 out of 4 of my challenges! I am SUPER STOKED about this! I know I have been horrible at reading Fantasy books but I think this isn’t the year of fantasy reading for me.
This will be something that I can think on when selecting the challenges I will be participating in next year.

I finally watched The Big Sick and it was AMAZING! It was funny in all the right places and I also loved how the mixed relationship and family was handled here. It helped that Kumail and Emily co-wrote the script. If you haven’t seen it, you should!
Justice League was a disappointment, actually. The plot was just meh for me AND that freaking photoshopped out Henry Cavill mustache was VERY distracting.
I also re-watched Zootopia and it’s still fun!
Now, I NEED to watch Stranger Things 2 soon!
How did your November go? Did you binge read during Thanksgiving weekend?
Did you start decorating for Christmas?

Your tree is a thing of beauty! (Did Martha Stewart help you?) I am an Alice Clayton fan. Her books are always so fun. The Big Sick looks great. Glad you liked it. I am excited that you are so excited for December and have so many wonderful things to look forward to.

Thanks, Sam! No, I didn’t ask for Martha Stewart’s help BUT I looked at quite a few Pinterest Pins 🙂 This is my third year putting up a themed Christmas tree, so it was pretty easy to do, to be honest LOL
oh I just love your CHRISTMAS decor, its so adorable. This month was more fun with contemporaries for me as well!! You have been doing such a great job with your challenges. I am behind on some of mine this year so I am a bit disappointed by that. But too much ARC reading. Hope you enjoy your weekend.

Thanks, Renee! I have been bad with my ARCs but I have been ARC hopping for the last month or so. I just don’t seem to get into the books, you know? And some of these are even highly anticipated ones! gaaaaaahh
Oh such a lovely tree. I’ve been horrible with contemporaries but great with fantasy. Maybe it evens out between us.

LOL it does! I hope to read at least one fantasy book before the end of the year, though. (fingers crossed)
I saw CoCo Friday night and it was so beautiful. The artwork is truly amazing. But I cried, and once I started it just wouldn’t stop. And then The Man made fun of me ALL the way home about it. Which lead to more crying. *sigh* It’s SOOOOOOO good…just bring a little packet of tissues.
You’ve had a great reading month!! I am hoping next month mine will look similar!
Thanks, Charlie! I know I will be crying when I see it!
Your tree is gorgeous! I love adult contemporary tomance. I love wallbanger and the hating game and christina lauren. Cannot freaking wait for star wars!
Thank you, Nereyda! I didn’t connect with The Hating Game, though 😀 but STAR WARS, OMG!
Your tree is so pretty! I tried to binge read on Thanksgiving, but it didn’t work very well. I hope you’re having a great December!

Thank you, AJ 🙂 I hope to binge read in December, too! How you’re having fun during the Holidays!
Your tree is so gorgeous! Mine resembles a scrapbook more than a thing of beauty. Congrats on 3 out of 4 challenges! Merry Christmas!
Thanks Danielle! 🙂 Merry Christmas!!
Woooow.. is that really your tree? It looks absolutely amazing! Also congrats on all of the challenges 🙂
