Last month’s deets on I Heart Romance & YA
Happy new month everyone! I can’t believe it’s already AUGUST! Anyway, August is the month where my university celebrates its Founder’s Day! This isn’t very common here in the US, but in the Philippines, especially my school, it’s a huge deal! This is usually the time where high school and college reunions happen and sadly, I won’t be able to attend! It’s been over 15 years since I graduated high school and I have never attended a reunion yet! Anyway, I will be green with envy when I see a slew of Facebook photos and posts about this!
By the way, I am now on BOOKTUBE! OMG! OMG! I just posted my very first video yesterday and I am so happy with all the welcome comments! I didn’t realize that Booktube was very friendly! Thank you so much for welcoming me!
If you are interested, please subscribe to I Heart Romance! This will be mostly a romance centric channel and I will probably not be posting reviews of YA titles that I have read. I’m trying to keep this channel more focused. Hope to chat with you over there!
I also discovered another sub genre that I enjoy! Steampunk Paranormal Romance is AH-MAY-ZING! OHMYGOD! Why haven’t I read this sub genre yet?!
I also read The Falconer and I was blown away! I NEED more like these!
I am 72 books in! YAAAZZZ! I have been reading pretty slowly in the last few months but I am still happy that I am 15 books ahead of schedule! I have a feeling that I will meet my challenge goal before the end of the year! Also, I am ONE book away from finishing the Historical Romance Reading Challenge! I will definitely finish that one by next month!
I am still waaaay behind on my Flights of Fantasy challenge but I haven’t been reading a lot of fantasy right now. I think I am more a sci-fi fantasy gal.
With the Discussion Challenge, I am making progress! See, I am only 2 blog posts away from my goal of 20! YAY! And this does not include any of my Top Ten Tuesday posts! I absolutely love this challenge but I am not so great at thinking of topics to talk about. Do you have any topics that you want me to discuss?

Woah! Game of Thrones is back! It’s pretty slow right now, but I know there will be more revelations to come!
I also watched a few episodes of Deathnote and My Crazy Ex Girlfriend and both look very interesting!
I rewatched a number of movies, too! hahaha I actually enjoyed rewatching Mamma Mia and Watchmen (I still don’t understand this movie, though). I also finally watched Arrival and Spiderman Homecoming!
How was your July? Any good books that you read? What was the best book you read in July?

Thanks!!! I’m trying to be more out there.. I just feel that they aren’t a lot of romance Booktube channels.. 🙂
Congratulations on doing so well with your challenges! I’m on track with my Goodreads Challenge, but would like to read ahead a little so I can have a cushion in case I hit a reading slump or something.

Yup! Reading ahead will really help! I have been in a slump of some form in the last few months, but since I was waaay ahead in January and February, it made up for my slack 🙂
Wow you’re doing great! 72 books is awesome. Congrats on starting a BookTube. I loved The Falconer! That series is one of my favorites. Book three was so emotional for me. I’ve read a few YA and Adult steampunk romance, and that subgenre never disappoints me. I hope you enjoy more of those books!
Have a wonderful day, Zeee. =)

Thanks, Alyssa! I purchased books 2 an 3 of The Falconer! eeeek! I’m super excited to read them this weekend!
Congrats on making a book tube channel! I don’t have the guts to make one, it makes me nervous just thinking about it. Good job on being ahead of schedule on your goodreads challenge! I decided not to participate in the goodreads challenge and just see how much reading I can accomplish without the actual pressure of the challenge.
I also watched Spider-Man: Homecoming and it was so funny. I enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would.
I hope you have a wonderful August!!!

I know! I was not expecting Spider-man to be that good!
I’m still not stressing over my Goodreads challenge as much but I just wanted to keep track of how many books I’m reading 🙂
wow 72 books that’s awesome! and congrats on being on booktube! I always wanted to do that but I’m too shy 🙂 I love anything steampunk so I can’t believe I haven’t read that either 🙂
hahaha yeah! I am shy but I just went ahead and decided to do it.. I mean, what the heck! haha 🙂
