Happy Monday, Wormies! I’ve been busy making this post for you! It took a bit of time to do because I had to wade through my Goodreads tracker to get the actual numbers!
I was inspired by Francesca’s video @ Under the Covers Book Blog Youtube channel where she shared her most-read authors of the decade. Please go and watch her video because she has some amazing authors on her list!
Looking back at the books that I read in the past decade was a bit surprising. For one, I wasn’t really tracking my reading seriously until a few years ago.

I actually joined Goodreads in 2010 which is the start of the decade, but I never really used it much until 2012, when I started this blog. But I didn’t really use it as much until around 2014. So, note that some of the books that I have read weren’t tracked at all. There are also a few authors that I have read the same number of books, so I will include all of them.
16 Books Read
Elle Kennedy

I binged Elle Kennedy when I discovered her Killer Instincts series which was a total of 7 books, at the time. I had read her Off-Campus series before, but I binged her and her backlist after reading her Killer Instincts series.
My Fave from the Author

Kat Martin

Did you know that Kat Martin wrote historical romance? She was actually one of the authors that I read who wrote modern historical romances! I legit still remember picking up Secret Ways from the bookstore when I was shopping for my college wardrobe at the mall! I immediately binged her backlist!
If you haven’t read Secret Ways, I HIGHLY recommend it!
She writes contemporary romantic suspense now, but I haven’t read those yet.
My Fave from the Author

Tracy Anne Warren

I read Tracy Anne Warren YEARS ago, when I found one of her books at a used bookstore! I actually reread all of her books this decade!
She hasn’t published a book since 2017, though! But her Byron’s of Braeburn series is now on Audible Escape!

17 Books Read
Jeaniene Frost

I read the very first JF book in 2015 and binged all the books in the Night Huntress series in a week! This has NEVER happened before that time! I am still obsessed with Cat and Bones!
I’ve actually reread Halfway to the Grave multiple times now!

18 Books Read
Jennifer Probst

Searching for Beautiful was the very first book I read by Jennifer Probst and I immediately fell in love! I basically binged her Searching for series and then discovered that this was a spin-off series! So I read that series and also found out that that series was a spin-off of her first series!

20 Books Read
Jay Crownover

I think my friend Crystal @ Crystal Blogs Books recommended her to me and I read her Welcome to the Point series which reminded me of The Fast and the Furious franchise.
I ended up loving her new adult books and reread a bunch of them – I love rereading Rule and Built!
Recovered is still my fave by her, but I haven’t reread it yet because it’s more personal to me.

21 Books Read
Lorraine Heath

Lorraine Heath is one of my favorite historical romance authors and I have read a lot of her Regency series! I have yet to read her cowboy historical romances!
My Fave from the Author

Sabrina Jeffries

Sabrina Jeffries is one of the very first authors I met at RT in 2010! Her street team was also the first one that I joined back in the day! I’ve also met Sabrina multiple times now and she still remembers me – and also knows me as Zeee!
Sabrina is one of the authors that I read in college and I fell in love with her writing! Her Royal Brotherhood series is one of my faves and her Hellions of Halstead Hall is another of my faves with my favorite book she has ever written – How to Woo a Reluctant Lady.
My Fave from the Author

Sophie Jordan

Sophie Jordan is one of the few authors that I have read multiple genres on – YA, NA, Contemporary and historical! If you haven’t read her Ivy Chronicles new adult series, you must add it to your TBR! How about her Devil’s Rock series? The first book, All Chained Up blew me away!
My Fave from the Author

Tessa Bailey

One of the authors that I binged a couple of years ago is Tessa Bailey who can write sexy, alpha, dirty-talking heroes and steamy sexy times!
I’ve already met her a couple of times and she is amazing! I have loved many of her books, so it was hard to pick a favorite! Follow is one of my favorites featuring a lovable dog!

32 Books Read
Jess Michaels/Jenna Petersen

I remember Jenna Petersen being the very first author I won a giveaway from and it is for one of my favorite books: Lessons from a Courtesan.
Just so you know, Jenna Petersen now writes as Jess Michaels and writes steamy erotic historical romances! Her book The Sweetest Sin is the very first erotic historical romance that I ever read!
I am counting books she has written as Jenna and Jess on this list.

34 Books Read
Lisa Kleypas

It is no surprise that Lisa Kleypas is my most-read author of the decade! I absolutely love her writing, and even if I haven’t read all of her contemporaries, I have read almost all (maybe I missed one) of her historical romances! In fact, a lot of her books are 5-star reads for me!
Again the Magic will always be my favorite, Dreaming of You is a close second. Again the Magic is the very first Kleypas book that I read and will always hold a special place in my heart.

OMG! THAT IS A LOTTA BOOKS!!!! I am going to start counting again for this decade!
I love this so much! I see some on here I need to add to my TBR and some authors that I also love. Plus I have the same fave by Elle Kennedy! 😉 I’m so glad you decided to do this 💓 and thanks for the shoutout

Your welcome! I loved your video! I was just so shocked that you had read like 40+ books by one author!
I’m definitely going to be looking into Jess Michaels now! I hadn’t heard of her before, but her books sound like something I’d enjoy!
I don’t know which romance authors I’ve read the most from, and I’m too lazy to do an accurate check. If I had to guess I’d say Katee Robert and Tessa Dare would probably make the list. I remember reading a lot of their books when I first discovered the romance genre!

Oh I highly recommend Jess Michaels! I haven’t really been feeling her newer books but her older ones are amazing! Taken by the Duke was an amazing book, too!
