Friday Faves is a feature where I share whatever bookish thing I saw or share books I read during the week.
Last year, I started listening to Audiobooks but for whatever reason I just couldn’t focus and get into the story. I had started listening to 1984 by George Orwell and The Princess and the Peer by Tracy Anne Warren but I just had to stop. 1984 became a DNR and The Princess and the Peer has been left on hold (I might read you again soon but we’ll see).
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago and I got a audiobook copy of A Night to Surrender by Tessa Dare and started listening to it. I am now almost done (since I only listen to it during my AM & PM commute) and I love it! I had no problems with focussing and I am able to enjoy listening to it! Wooozaaahh!
So, for now, I am LOVING audiobooks.
Maybe it depends on the story? I don't listen to audiobooks at all, because I'm not a listener kind of reader, I really need to get my hands on something. But I'm glad you've rediscovered your love for it. 🙂
My recent post Review: The Mephisto Club [Rizzoli & Isles, book 6]
Yes, maybe the story does matter. I'm trying this out because of crazy the traffic here in LA. I need to listen to something to pass the time and I thought why not try audiobook? Hope this lasts, though! LOL
Yay! I'm so glad you gave Audiobooks a second chance 🙂 I'm a total junkie.. LOL I hope you keep finding fabulous listens.
My recent post 4th Annual Hoppy Easter Eggstravaganza Winner Announcemt!
Thanks! I have The Fault in Our Stars by John Green next!
