Last month on I Heart Romance & YA
It’s March, Wormies! Do you know what March brings? It’s our anniversary month! I can’t believe Pierre and I have been married since 2008 – ELEVEN YEARS! Keep an eye out for Instagram stories featuring him! I’ll do a few (if he agrees he WILL agree) video clips featuring him. ??
Now, on to my reading update! Did you know that February was another meh month for me? In fact, I feel like I have been hopping from one book to another all month! Gaaah. Hoping this will change in March, but I’m not holding my breath for that.
Also, did you know that I already purchased my tickets for Avon KissCon in April? KissCon starts on MY birthday! So, this is my gift to myself! I’m also meeting one of my IRL friends who I haven’t seen since my wedding! I’m super excited because we also share a birthday and now, I get to meet her two babies!
If any of you guys are going to Avon KissCon, please don’t be a stranger and say hi to me! I’m an introvert at heart, but will definitely babble on and on when talking about books and romance!
Another thing. I’m not sure if you’ve been watching #romancelandia Twitter in the last two weeks but woah did something despicable happen! I’m actually debating if I should write a discussion about it – a reader’s perspective if you will. But I’m really sure if I want to wade in into the muck. I’ll think about it.
I read 9 books in February, which brings my reading total to 19! Not bad!
Also, did you notice that The Kingdom of Copper is now my longest book? Yeah, it’s only a little over 600 pages, but it’s been a while since I read a really long book!
You guys, I just finished listening to Butterface and it really hit me in the feels! I was bawling! And yeah, this legit happened to me – TWICE. I am regretting not reading this when it released! But yeah, I recommend this book!

We saw Alita Battle Angel on Valentine’s Day and we surprisingly enjoyed it! I did think that there were a few cheesy scenes – especially the romance part. But it was still worth the V-day splurge!
How to Train Your Dragon 3 is out and we saw it last week. It was AMAZING! I NEED A LIGHT FURY, PLEASE!
Also, The Masked Singer is over! That was just a crazy weird celebrity reality show – I can’t wait for season 2!
I haven’t been watching any series at the moment. I think I need another one to binge watch!
How did your February go?
Can you recommend a good series to binge-watch? I love sci-fi, and crime dramas!

Hi, Zee! 3 things! 🙂 First, Butterface sounds like a really fun read! 🙂 I live for fake relationship tropes! Second, I loved Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating! I listened to it in audio and it was perfect! Lastly, god I can’t wait to read The Risk! Elle Kennedy is an all time favorite and I wouldn’t miss her new release for the world! 🙂 Have a fun reading month in March! 🙂 xo, Kat

Thanks, Kat! Butterface really had me in the feels! Also, stuff in Butterface sorta happened to me so… 🙁 but yes, it’s an awesome read! I’m currently reading Muffin Top!
Also Josh and Hazel! My review is scheduled for next week, I think!
Happy anniversary month! I hope you have tons of fun at the cons. Have a great March!

Thanks, Aj! 🙂 I’m excited for KissCon! Hope I meet a lot of bloggers there!
I LOVVEEED Kingdom of Copper.
Congrats to you and your husband, 11 years is awesome.
I think I’m going to KissCon on the Saturday. I live like 20 minutes away so I would just hop a train.
Happy March!
Thank you, Amber! I’ve known him since I was 17! LOL Ohhh and if you go to KissCon, don’t be a stranger and say hi! 🙂 I’m just doing the Friday-Saturday event 😉
I tried listening to Butterface, but it didn’t keep my attention. Could have been the narrator. But I think I want to try reading the actual book, it might be better for me that way. For some reason, I have trouble listening to romance books that are in third person. Not sure why. Since you liked it so much, I definitely think I should give it another try. That’s another Christina Lauren book I need to read soon as well! You can check out my February post in the link below. have a great March!

I totally understand! There are just some audiobooks where I can’t stand the narrator! The CL book may be better read, too because I HATED the male narrator… LOL
Congratulations on your anniversary! How sweet 🙂 And I had no idea such a thing as KissCon existed, now I need to go look it up!
YES! KissCon is in Chicago! This is their first multi-day event, they only used to have this for a few hours, usually in a bookstore. I’m really excited about this!
If you go, don’t forget to say hi!
600 pages IS a long book to me. 400 is already pretty long. I prefer short books. Thanks for sharing how your month went.
LOL yes, it is! It was a struggle to finish but I enjoyed the book so much!
Happy Anniversary!! I haven’t read The Risk yet but I have read Josh and Hazel’s Guide To Not Dating and really loved it. I started binge watching The Fosters. I am currently watching For The People and Proven Innocent and both are really good shows. Have fun at the KissCon!

Nine books is really awesome! I have The Kingdom of Copper and book 1 to read this summer when I have more time. Happy Spring!
YES! I highly recommend reading both! Also, you will hate yourself because book 3 isn’t coming out until next year!
