Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Spring is almost here, Wormies! For today’s post, I decided to pick my favorite book covers based on the Pantone 2017 Spring Colors. Incidentally, there are 10 spring colors this year, so it was absolutely perfect for this weeks’ topic!
Kerrigan Byrne’s The Highwayman (❤❤❤❤) has an amazing yellow cover! Obviously, the book is amazing as well! This is also a story of an antihero and a second chance romance!
Marie Rutkoski’s The Winner’s Curse (❤❤❤❤) is one book that surprised me so much! After reading a YA series with gorgeous gowns that I absolutely did not like (but had to finish all 3 books), I was wary of YA books with gorgeous covers. NEVER FEAR because The Winner’s Curse is an entertaining read. Also, I loved the non-relationship between Kestrel and her father.
I did not like The Mortal Instruments series but I ABSOLUTELY LOVED The Infernal Devices! Clockwork Princess (❤❤❤❤❤) is the last book in the trilogy and I absolutely LOVED it! It has automatons and demons and hybrid demons and Shadowhunters and it is also historical! More steampunky, but the trilogy is so good! There is a love triangle in this series, though which I absolutely hated.
Even though I haven’t read If I Stay by Gayle Forman, I absolutely enjoyed the movie. Also, the cover is just so pretty and simple that I could not choose it as one of my favorite blue covers (there are 3 shades of blue for this spring so I have multiple options). One reason that I have been dragging my feet about this book is that it I don’t want to be disappointed when I read it since I loved the movie so much. Have you read this book? Should I read it? Is the book better than the movie?
Heir of Fire (❤❤❤❤❤) is one of my favorite books in the Throne of Glass series and this is one book (and series) that embraces girl power and kick-ass females! This is also the time where the whole plot of the freaking series changed and my love Chaol was swept under the rug! 🙁 Still, this book is one of my favorites in the series.
Teresa Medeiros’ Yours Until Dawn (❤❤❤❤) is an amazing Beauty and the Beast retelling that I absolutely love! Sure, it was a bit unbelievable in the end, but the taming of the beast part of the romance is amazing. The dialogue is well crafted and it brought me to tears!
Winter (❤❤❤❤❤) is not exactly hot pink BUT the overall effect of the cover does remind me of this color! Anyway, this AMAZEBALLS series and this AMAZING book is one of my favorites in The Lunar Chronicles. I adore this series so much I have read it multiple times already!
Throne of Glass (❤❤❤❤) is one amazing series and although I was disappointed with Empire of Shadows (❤❤❤❤), I still enjoyed the series! It also helps that Sarah J. Maas is writing a CHAOL BOOK OMG GIVE IT TO ME NAAAAW!
Although These Broken Stars (❤❤❤❤❤) only has the dress as green, I am picking it for kale because not only does this book talk about terraforming alien planets, it is a FREAKING AWESOME EPIC SPACE BOOK! In fact, this was THE book that made me read YA again! Such an amazing book and I absolutely LOVE Lilac and Tarver!
Again the Magic (❤❤❤❤❤) by Lisa Kleypas is one of top 10 favorite historical romances of all time. I have reread this multiple times and it just brings me to tears every time! Plus, I love forbidden romance and angst and redemption and this book has it in spades!
Do you have any favorite book covers?
Does an awesome book cover make you want to read a book?

I actually didn’t know about pan-tone colors- but I love how engaging you’ve made the post by pairing books and colors.
Also, here in India, we passed spring really quickly, and the heat is picking up so much that it feels like peak summer!
What a great take on the topic! I love how you approached it AND you also picked some pretty gorgeous covers. I just check out Again the Magic! Always looking for a good historical romance
Ashley, Again the Magic is one of my favorites! <3
I love this idea! Such lovely, colorful covers, too. Some of my favorites are the Drizzt books by R. A. Salvatore because his cover artist is Todd Lockwood.
Here is my TTT. Thanks!
Hi! I do love the colors in the If I Stay and These Broken Stars covers. Great idea for this week! 🙂

I absolutely LOVE your idea for the post!! Pantone colors are so fun and matching them with covers is brilliant 🙂 It’s hard to even pic a favorite, they’re so well matched! I do like the bright yellow and the Winner’s Curse color, but that HoF green is great too. I love this!
