Bookish updates in the last 3 weeks
Hi, Wormies! Happy Sunday! I decided to do a three-week update this time because I just did my monthly wrap-up and I thought it was too close together to post a wrap-up post.
So, September is going to be CrAzY for me because a lot of things are happening! First, Crystal @ Crystal Blogs Books and I went to Disneyland last Thursday! It was an awesome day and we had so much fun. To be fair, the last time I went was in 2012 so I has loads of fun! I would also like to thank my uncle who I call Papa since he’s practically a second father to me, for giving me the awesome pink Minnie Ears Headband from Hong Kong Disneyland! They went a couple of years ago and I requested the ears (he didn’t get any for his kids, BTW).
Next, I am going to the Historical Romance Retreat at the end of this week! Eeep! I am super excited! This is my first time to attend and I already have a few costumes lined up! I can’t wait to meet my favorite historical romance authors!
And lastly, Pierre’s birthday is coming and, so we are going on a mini trip for the weekend. I will probably be “staycationing” and staying up in the hotel, though. Maybe get some reading done. But we will be going to a couple of concerts that weekend and I can’t wait! One of the artists is someone I have been wanting to see live since I was a teen in the 90s!
Also, Pierre and I will be spending a day in Disneyland the week before his birthday and I hope he’ll be okay with it. Since Crystal and I already went on a lot of rides, Pierre and I will probably be more relaxed and hit the ones that were closed due to the Halloween change!
seriously, does this dude ever smile? ?
Unfortunately, I have been busy the last month and this month, too so I haven’t stopped by and commented on my favorite blogs. I apologize! I will try to visit more this month if I can!
I honestly tried to continue with The Hardest Fall because I love the premise! But the heroine was just too awkward for me and I got frustrated!

- Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction talks about Book Box Subscriptions (I was going to write a post about this one but I got too busy to write the post! ANYWAY, I HAVE THOUGHTS!)
- Malka and Chana @ Paper Procrastinators rave about how wonderful bookstores are (I seriously love indie bookstores best!)
- Sarika @ Between the Pages discusses why she doesn’t seek out for diversity in books (I am the same! It’s okay if the cover has diverse characters because I love that, but I don’t want diversity shoved down my throat. Also, I am a POC and I while I do read diverse books, I don’t actively seek it out.)
- Lurch @ Wa Ka-turtle talks about her love for breakfast buffets (SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE! BREAKFAST BUFFETS ARE AMAZING! They are the best thing ever invented! Also, isn’t it obvious that I love breakfast food?)
Do you have any plans post-summer?
Have you been to Disneyland? What is your favorite ride?
Also, can you comment on Pierre not smiling? LOL Seriously, he does smile. ?

You are having so much fun. That’s awesome. Love all the pictures. I really like the VIP series. I knew from the beginning of the first book I would like it. That retreat sounds incredible. I hope you have an amazing time.
I wanna finish reading the VIP series! 🙂 I actually need to start reading the first book! haha
I so loved Lick and Play! And I am dreaming to go to Disneyland one day. Seems you had fun 😉
It was fun… but crowded. I was told it gets even more crowded on weekends!
Great post you have here and so many books you grabbed up!! Some guys just NEVER smile, I have a brother like that. Try tickling him hehe
I do love Disneyland, its so fun!!
hahaha yeah, he’s hopeless! But he does smile… I guess??
I snagged that Higginson audio from Tantor as well! I’m excited to listen. Hope you enjoy more fun at Disney. Maybe Pierre will smile? I mean, its the happiest place on earth!

Yes to Disneyland! I’m going back again on Thursday! Also, the Historical Romance Retreat was amazing!
Great photos. I’d love to go to Disney someday, even though rollercoasters make me throw up. There’s probably a lot to do there besides rollercoasters. Enjoy your new books!

Disneyland has the tame coasters and there are other rides there, so you should be okay! 🙂 I also can’t do scary rides anymore!
Yay for Disneyland looks like you had a great time. What concerts are you going to? You’re doing amazing on bookstagram. You are bookstagram goals!
I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on all of the books that you read. Lots of books I’m interested on that list so yay!
My niece is leaving for her mission for our Church in November so we’re going to have a lot of family in town to see her off and to celebrate Thanksgiving with so I’m excited for that. That’s about all that I can think of right now for my plans this fall.
I hope you have a wonderful week and have fun at the Historical Romance Retreat. I can’t wait to hear all about it! 🙂
We’re going to Fall Out Boy and Alanis Morrisette! I’m SUPER excited for Alanis! She was my BAE from the 90s!
It’s super fun to meet with family for Thanksgiving! We don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving as much here because I didn’t really grow up here. But it’s an awesome time to rest and not work!
I’ll talk more about HRR soon!
OMG SO MANY TRIPS! I’m so jealous. It’s just been school, school, and school for me. D: I totally miss Disneyland, too. It’s been a while since I’ve been there (although I did go to Disneysea just last last year), and I am in need to go! Maybe I’m tough enough for some of the rollercoasters now. ?

It looks like September is my vacation month! I have plans every week this month and have taken PTO for those days! It’s fun to relax and recharge before coming back to work.
I haven’t been to the Disneylands in Asia and I really want to go! Maybe soon!
Sounds like you had fun at a Disneyland. Would love to get to go to an Asian one. Trips and retreats are a great way to recharge. Enjoy and post a picture of you in costume. You have so many books you are either listening to or reading to. Busy girl! ❤️❤️
Definitely!! I’ve been in a slump in reading and blogging and I feel sooooo bad about it!
I love you. haha thanks for giving me a shout-out
LOL love you, too! <3
