Bookish updates in the last 2 weeks
Happy Sunday, Wormies! How has your week been? I’ve been over the moon because I met my Goodreads reading goal of 130 books last week! Amazing, isn’t it? Well, I won’t exactly call it that because I am now in a sort of reading slump (or about to start a slump). So this last week has all been about rereading my favorite books!
I’m also excited because on Sunday, I am going with Crystal @ Crystal Blogs Books to the 2018 CHOC Walk in the Park at the Disneyland Resort on August 26th to raise funds for CHOC Children’s Hospital! This is the first time I’m going and I’m really excited to join and walk for a cause. If you want to donate, click on the image below. No amount is too little for this cause!
Pierre is also coming home next week so he will come with us and walk, as well. And uhmm he also gave me a present for no reason at all. I received a little package last Thursday! I have to say that he bought charms in his initials – PT, and not mine! Oh, and he only gave me 3 additional charms, the bracelet and other charms are mine, but he has been purchasing charms for me since last year.
It’s also #RomanceAwarenessMonth and I’ve been joining the challenge hosted by St. Martin’s Press this month and it’s been fun! Two of the challenges were 1) Romance Shelfie and 2) reading spot. So here is the breakdown of my romance shelfie and reading spot!

Did you make any reading goals this year? How many books have you read so far?

Pierre is so sweet. Love the bracelet. The walk sounds pretty awesome, and Disneyland – Fun! I am a big fan of Denault’s Sand Francisco Thunder series. I adore the Braddock family. I like Callihan’s VIP books too. I have the Sophie Jordan book, but I am currently working on September books. Probably won’t read it until December. Hope it’s good.
He is sweet… sometimes I think that he doesn’t have it in him and then he surprises me. LOL I am sooo loving Denault right now! I want Jude to be my big brother so much! I mean he calls his sisters “The Sorority” and he’s such a sweetie…
Congrats on reaching your GR goal!!! I’m inching pretty close, so wish me luck! 🙂
I love those charms. They are super cute. I’m curious about the Sophie Jordan book. She’s such a hit or miss author for me, but I do enjoy her writing.
I hope you have a good week! 🙂

Goodluck, Nick!! You’ll make it!! There are still a few more months to go! I just whizzed through the books because of audio. 🙂
I love Sophie’s New Adult and Contemporaries, her historicals are hit or miss for me 🙁
Congrats on kicking your GR goal’s butt! What an adorable gift! My husband gets me charms for my bracelet sometimes-it makes for an easy gift! Have a great week

It’s an easy gift, really! He actually does think about the things I like. I shouldn’t be surprised, but he does surprise me a lot 🙂
Congrats on finishing your Goodreads goal! I’m not sure if I’m going to reach mine this year. I love your charm bracelet. I have one of those, too, but I want to get the charms welded on. They keep falling off or getting caught on stuff. Have a great week!

Same, AJ! It’s actually annoying! I think the idea is to fill the bracelet with charms so they don’t move around… but these darn things are super pricey!
Congrats on your reading goal! I’m not anywhere near that many books ha ha, but then my reading this summer has been way down. Have fun at the CHOC event- sounds awesome!

Thanks, Greg! Yeah, I’m just fast because I listen to audiobooks. Otherwise, I’m really, really slow!
Hooray for reaching your GoodReads goal – that’s awesome! And what a sweet gift. Sounds like you have a keeper. 🙂
Seeing Crownover’s Rule totally makes me want to do a re-listen of the entire series. I seriously loved the Marked Men series and got invested in their lives. My favorite couple will always be Nash + Saint. Swoon! Love the cover of The Me I Meant to Be. I need to check that one out. Hope you have a great week! 🙂

Seriously! My fave tho is Rule and Shaw and everything Jay Crownover writes is amazing!!!
Wow, look at you go. You’re doing an amazing job on all platforms and I’m super jealous!! Keep up the good work, Zee!
You’ve got a great haul this week, I love it!! I’m really looking forward to your thoughts on the Sophie Jordan book that you’re reading now. That one looks super cute but I didn’t get approved for an eARC so I was waiting for it to come out before I purchased it.
I hope you have a wonderful week and get to read all of the books. I love the gift from your hubby too. That’s a cute charm bracelet! 🙂

Thanks, Rowena! I’m trying my best! I’m focusing on blogging and bookstagram for now 🙂
Ohh I have thoughts on that Sophie Jordan book… it’s too cutesy so I’m holding off for now. I hope to get back to it soon!
