Sharing my thoughts on this weeks’ reads
Happy Sunday, Wormies! I think I’m starting to get my mojo back and yes, I have been reading quite a bit! Plus, it’s the long weekend and I don’t really have plans other than stay inside where it’s cool!
Also, there is a crazy brush fire that has burned over 8,000 acres here in the La Tuna Canyon area (about 15 miles away from where I am) so it’s not really safe to go outside because of the smoke. To anyone close to the area, please be safe.
The recent disasters also got me thinking that I am not really ready when something like this happens. I was listening to the news this morning and it immediately brought me back to when I was in college and there was a fire less than a block away from my house. I practically did not take anything but my nursing school documents and my three dogs. It was a good thing nothing happened to our house and the fire was contained. But that was in the Philippines where the winds aren’t as crazy as here or as dry.
I feel bad for putting these two books on hold. Unfortunately, they are not grabbing my attention at the moment. In Heart of Iron, the romance is super slow burning that it is very frustrating. And this is the same with It’s Hard Out Here for a Duke. Gaaaaah I need HALP!

I am in a bit of a reading slump but it’s not a big one. I think I have just been stressed and it’s affecting my reading right now. But I have today and tomorrow off, so I am going to focus on reading books. It looks like you are reading some great books there. I really enjoyed Tessa Dare’s new book, probably one of her best work since the Spindle Cove series. And yay for a older romance…love that you like those too!! I remember loving Promise Me Forever.
I haven’t read Promise Me Forever but I recently reread A Matter of Temptation so I decided to go ahead and reread the entire series! 🙂 I think I find solace in rereading my old favorites, especially during a slump!
I plan to spend my extra weekend day reading as well! Hopefully my husband and the dogs will leave me alone!
Samantha recently posted…Sunday Post: Yay for 3 day weekends!
My cat isn’t leaving me alone, but she is merely cuddling.. only she gets pissed every time I move! haha Husband is also at work so I have this long weekend all to myself! 😀
