MY THOUGHTS
Bound by Bliss is the second book in the Bound and Determined series by Lavinia Kent and I thought it was ok. I was looking forward to this book since I read the first one, Mastering the Marquess, which I also thought was ok.
The story centers on Lady Bliss Danser (didn’t care for the name, by the way) who was given an ultimatum by her brother to wed by summer’s end or be forced to marry his friend, Stephan, Earl of Duldon. Naturally, when a lady does not care for the ultimatum and does not like Stephan because she finds herself drawn to him. So what is a girl to do? Tell the Lord that she will NOT marry him and to have him find her another fiance instead! Unknown to her, Stephan has secretly desired her for a long time and decides to aid her in her quest but he also has a different motive. He wants Bliss all to himself.
As with the first book, I was torn about this story. I did not really like Bliss in the first part of the book and Stephan also did not feel as dominating as he was supposed to be. Sure, there was chemistry between the two, but I felt that it wasn’t until the book was almost done.
