Thoughts, life, and struggles of the blogger (moi)
I got knocked down, but I’ll get up again… SOON!
If any of you have noticed, I haven’t had any new posts since last Monday’s BFF Discussion. And why is that, you might ask? Well, I was KNOCKED-OUT by the FREAKING FLU! FLU WON THE WAR AND I LOST! Blogger Insider: Getting Knocked-Out by the Flu is Not Fun! But now I’m back!So yeah. I did not get myself vaccinated (and I’m a nurse, but whatever), but I’m blaming Boss (the hubs) for giving me all his germs while he goes off to work for another 28 days. Eeeep! I feel totally horrible and had to miss a couple of days from work (which was fine, I mean, no WORK, yay! Butttt).
You felt CRAPPY, so what?!
Well, that just means that I was so lazy tired to even think about blogging. Well, I thought about it but I just couldn’t get enough energy to blog. Plus with the meds that I took, I could barely keep my eyes open to READ! On the up side, I finished HEIR OF FIRE by Sarah J. Maas and OMG, I CAN’T EVEN (review to come, so I won’t talk much about it)!!!! However, I want someone to talk to about this but there’s no one around for miles! Plus, I keep bugging Boss to read Throne of Glass but he keeps putting it off (he’s currently addicted to Naruto and I’m just not into that…yet).
Did you even BINGE WATCH while you were sick?
So, I don’t normally binge watch a lot of shows because I can haz short attention span but I can honestly say that I finished season 2 of The 100! I mean this SERIES! Boss also started watching it with me the last few episodes.
I also started watching Princess Hours (Korean Comedy Drama) because why not? This show was a big thing in the Philippines ten years ago, but I didn’t have time to watch it. Too bad it isn’t dubbed in English, though. I get sleepy reading the subtitles. But I’m pushing through. This might take me months to finish but who cares?
Then you got creative, right?
I also finished my flip book for #PocketLettersABCs hosted by Andi @ Andi’s ABCs. It was my very first flip book, and I’m not sure if it was amazing but I thought it was cute! I also forgot to take a photo of it so boooo me.
However, I played with my We are Memory Keeper 1-2-3 Punch Board and I LOVE it to bits! So expect to see more of those in future Instagram posts.
Book and a Beverage time!
Here’s the photo I shared for #BookandaBeverage! Oh, and if you have a mind to, follow me on Instagram (link on sidebar) where I sporadically post book spreads and just normal nonsense from my everyday life.
Enough about books, tell us how YOU feel!
I’m actually feeling pretty great, right now. Not at 100% though but loads better than I was a couple of days ago. I think I just needed more TLC (wherein my source for TLC is now my kitty kat Twylah since Boss is back at work), and gallons upon gallons of fluids.
Stop whining, tell me what’s next!
I hope my good health will take me onto next week because I will be uber busy! Gasp! After my semi-lazy week this week, I am going to be travelling to Northern California to speak at a meeting, come back the same day, and leave for San Diego the next day and stay there until Friday. But it’s not all fun and games, people! It’s work! And I will be mostly by myself so hopefully, you virtual peeeepz will keep me company!
How was your week? Ever get put down by the flu? Ever tried to escape the clutches of the dreaded vaccination and regretted it? Share them below!
p.s. don’t be like me, go get vaccinated!
Oh, I wish I could get vaccinated! 🙂 I have horrible, horrible needle anxiety and then I usually get this miserable cold-like sickness after every flu vaccination so I’ve given up and rely on other people’s immunity (they offer free flu shots where I work and people line up in droves).
I’m glad that you are feeling better and on the mend!!

Some actually feel miserable and have flu-like symptoms after vaccination… but like me, I loathe needles. I can give anyone else an injection, tho. ha ha
Happy to hear you are feeling better now. As much as I dislike being sick, I do enjoy using it as an excuse to just lay in bed watching dramas, animes, or reading a book. Take care during your busy week!
Thanks Alyn! I actually enjoyed staying in bed for a day but then was swamped when I got back to work… XD
Well, at least you got to spend some good quality time with the TV! Glad you’re feeling better!
