I’ve always been a bookworm. But that’s not all I do! I was a little artsy as a kid. Not that I’m really good and all, but I love my creative side.
Sure, I can’t draw or paint to save my life but I did take a painting class one summer when I was 10 (or thereabouts). Last year I shared my hobbies so this year, I am adding a few more to the list.
And as much as I LOVE to sing (in the shower) I can’t carry a tune to save my life! I also envy those who play an instrument and I wish I can play, but unfortunately, I don’t have the patience to practice. I also REFUSE to let Pierre teach me how to play the guitar. That did not end well. haha
However, I love to DIY! But since I can’t focus on one thing, I have tried a number of projects and I enjoyed doing them. I actually gave some DIY stuff to my co-workers for Christmas. in fact, I’ve been doing this for the last three years!

I started this project last Thursday, painted the crates and added the greenery! Finished it on Friday et voila! Instant decor! It’s pretty easy to do, too! Plus, I got to use a hammer! haha My fireplace mantel now looks super fresh! And, if you haven’t really guessed, this isn’t a “living wall.”

I created one pomander for each of my co-workers (I made a couple more but they are just not shown in the photo) for Christmas last year. I personalized it with stickers matching the first letter of their first name. This is another SUPER easy (and FUN!) craft that can be given as gifts! Also VERY affordable to make!

I also know how to make soap! I have ideas with this hobby, but yeah, this one does take a lot of time to sit and cure before it can be used. It’s super easy to make, too! I made more, but they are too soft to handle at this time, so no photos yet!

This is another DIY that I did as gifts. I actually made better ones a couple of years ago but stupid me forgot to photograph them! YIKES!
Well, this post turned out to be a DIY post! Anyway, I am also still coloring! What to start coloring but don’t know where to start? Check out my Coloring 101 if you’re interested in starting this hobby.
What are your hobbies besides reading? Ever done DIY before? Show me your creations!
Those succulents are so pretty! I recently put together little cactus/succulent displays for my bookshelf, but they are all dying! I think they must not be getting enough light 🙁

You need to water them and also expose them to light regularly. Which is why I went with this project… It makes my living room look fresh, but I won’t forget to take of it.. haha
I love DIYS!! They’re so much fun. Pinterest is my addiction and I have a whole board dedicated to DIYs. I’ve made DIY coasters before with beer carriers and it was awesome and super cheap! I have to try the Sharpie mugs, I’ve been meaning to!

Please do! They are super cheap and very easy to make! I would recommend using the ceramic sharpies for this project.
I LOVE the succulents! I’ve been looking to invest in some for my apartment. They just look so lovely and I think some greenery around me would make me feel better during the winter months!

Definitely! I was thinking about getting the real succulents but I don’t think I will remember to water them once in a while…. so I went with these instead! 🙂
I don’t have the patience for learning an instrument, but I love singing! Drawing isn’t my forte either as I was once asked why I put antlers on a pig… It was supposed to be a reindeer, btw. My craft of choice is crochet 🙂
I also know how to crochet but I hardly do those anymore.. 🙂
It is awesome that you’re into DIY! I love seeing people’s projects, but always get too intimidated to try to do them myself. I do like your succulent/crate project, and I think it looks wonderful <3
