The former Clifton Forge, Montana motorcycle club has everyone in town convinced they’ve locked their clubhouse doors and ripped off their patches. Everyone but Bryce Ryan. There’s more happening at the club’s garage than muscle car restorations and Harley rebuilds. Her instincts are screaming there’s a story—one she’s going to tell.
As the new owner of the small town’s newspaper, Bryce is hungry for more than birth announcements and obituaries. When a woman is brutally killed and all signs point to the club, Bryce is determined to expose the members and their leader, Kingston “Dash” Slater, as murderers.
Bryce bests Dash match after match, disappointed her rugged and handsome opponent turns out to be an underwhelming adversary. Secrets are exposed. Truths defeat lies. Bryce is poised to win this battle in a landslide.
Then Dash breaks all the rules and tips the scales.
One kiss, and she’s fighting to save more than just her story. She’s fighting to save her heart from the Steel King.

Heat Level: Sensual
Gypsy King is my second Devney Perry book and it did not disappoint! Devney Perry has a way of writing that captivates you from page 1! Based on the book I read, I was really curious how she would write an MC romance because her writing style isn’t as gritty as what you would expect an MC romance to feel like.
I have to say that her style works well with how she wrote Gypsy King. And yes, this book isn’t really dark and gritty at all! For one, the Tin Gypsy MC has already disbanded, and the story takes place a few years after they disbanded. The heroine is a reporter, newly moved into town, and is out to find dirt about the Tin Gypsy MC because she couldn’t believe that they just up and stopped their criminal business. Enter a horrific murder with the ex-Tin Gypsy president as the main suspect.
There is a little bit of mystery here because Bryce is now investigating the murder! She runs into the last president of the Tin Gypsies, Dash (the suspect’s son), and he makes a bargain to help him find the murderer and prove that his father is innocent.
Tin Gypsy has all the feels! I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love the enemies-to-lovers aspect of the romance and I also love the slight thrill in the end.
There is one mystery that I solved halfway through the book, though. But I don’t think that mystery was intended to be hidden, because it was just too obvious.
The ending was a little bit too dramatic for my taste. I’m also not a fan of accidental pregnancies and thank goodness, it was barely at the end of the book, so it was a non-issue for me. Overall, I enjoyed Gypsy King. There is also a secondary couple and their story is book 2 in this series Riven Knight. This is not a spoiler since the blurb for book 2 is already out!
All I can say is that the ending (and two epilogues) were overly dramatic for me – but cute!
Dash also has an older brother who is married and lives in another state. While I’m not very familiar with Devney Perry’s other books, this feels like it was a book in another series.
