This is it! Now is the time to start thinking about new challenges for 2017! I’m pretty stoked about the challenges I am participating this year even though I didn’t meet all my goals for 2016. *cough* #shame
I am only joining a few challenges this year because I KNOW that I won’t be able to achieve all of them. I ALWAYS drop the ball halfway through the year AND I also don’t track them as much as I should.
This year also marks the first year that I am hosting the Historical Romance Reading Challenge so I hope you will participate!
Here are the challenges I am participating this year. Wish me luck!
As of today, I have read 110 books from my goal of 80. This means that already met my reading goal way before the end of the year. That being said, I decided to up my game and read 100 books. I actually set 100 as my goal in 2015 but I decided to slow down and not speed through reading. Well, it didn’t turn out as well as I had planned, so I am deciding to read 100 books.
Me and reviewing. So, I already know that I suck at reviewing the books that I read and I believe that I have currently reviewed 56 books this year. I hope to change things this year, but I am still setting my review goal this year is to review 80 books. I am also going to try to do mini-reviews which will help me in this goal.

For 2016, I started exploring different genres. As a result, I have not been reading a lot of historical romance books. I am actually hosting this challenge for the very first time this year, so I hope you will participate! Also, my goal is to read 36 historical romance books.

I joined the Book Blog Discussion Challenge this year and I absolutely enjoy writing bookish discussion. Although I didn’t reach my goal of 20 this year (I am 3 discussions short), I am still going to strive for 20 bookish discussions.

Flights of Fantasy is a new challenge that I want to try. This is because I have been reading a lot of fantasy books this year and I thought that joining this challenge will make me read more fantasy books. I am setting my goal at 20 fantasy books.
What challenges are you participating this year?
Good luck on your challenges!
I really did the minimal for challenges last year, just the Goodreads and the discussion challenge (I’m really bad at updating/keeping track of which books goes where, ha!), but this year I might try a few more (including your romance one!).
