February 20, 12AM EST – February 22, 12AM EST
Hosted by: Alexa (Alexa Loves Books), Cee (The Novel Hermit), Hazel (Stay Bookish) & Mel (The Daily Prophecy)
I am interrupting my Monday discussion to talk about #LoveAThon! I really had fun connecting with a lot of book bloggers, bookstagrammers, and booktubers! I can’t believe I was a solitary blogger for A LONG TIME!
Today, I’d like to talk about authors, characters, or even bloggers, that I would want to have tea with! Since I don’t really like tea (THE HORROR!), I decided to invite them for coffee! Plus cafe + books = LOVE! Right?
Before we proceed, I want to let everyone know that I am shy and a little awkward, so I may freeze and babble and just look dumb. But since this is make believe, let’s just pretend that I’m outgoing and fun. XD
Let’s set the stage. Picture a nice, comfy cafe where there is an abundance of cake (ahem) and chocolate, and of course, any coffee your heart desires. Would you be interested in having a cup with me?
JULES VERNE
First up on my list of people to invite would be Jules Verne. If you don’t already know, I love Jules Verne’s writing. My three favorites are 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Around the World in 80 Days, and my all time favorite A Journey to the Center of the Earth. The reason why I would love to invite Mr. Verne is that ALL THESE THINGS ACTUALLY CAME TRUE! I would really be interested in picking his brain and asking him how he came up with all these ideas!
LISA KLEYPAS
Because I love historical romance so much, this was the only genre that I read for a few years. Obviously, that lead me to read a lot of Miss Kleypas’ books and she is the author that I’ve read the most books from! I read her earlier ones, The Valerians to the recent one, Cold-Hearted Rake! OMG! We would totally talk about a lot of things historical romance and her awesome heroes! She does write swoon worthy heroes! Cue in Derek Craven!!
SARAH J. MAAS
If you’ve been following my blog for the last couple of weeks (or Twitter), you will know that I AM OBSESSED WITH THE THRONE OF GLASS SERIES! So yes, definitely inviting Miss Maas to coffee would be an awesome treat. And yes, FANGIRLING!
CELAENA SARDOTHIEN & CHAOL WESTFALL
Ahemm…related to the above obsession, I would totally love to have Celaena and Chaol to coffeee and chocolate cake! I would be asking Celaena about fighting tips and we would totally bond over dresses! And yes, with Chaol hovering over us…. heaven!
HERMIONE GRANGER & RON WEASLEY
I so ship these two together from Sorcerer’s Stone and I don’t care if J.K. thought that they shouldn’t have been together. The book has been written and they are togther AND I SHIP THEM! I think our coffee date would be so fun (with Ron cracking jokes) and Hermione talking about anything bookish! And spells!
KIM POSSIBLE & RON STOPPABLE & RUFUS
I really don’t care that they are not bookish but I LOVE K P AND RON! This is one of my favorite animated shows on the Disney Channel. This came out when I was in college and I loved it so much! I think this was the years where the TV shows on Disney were sooo good! I mean, come on, A NAKED MOLE RAT? WHAT IS THAT? SOOOO ADORABLE!
Last month, I joined Andi’s #PocketLetterABCs and I got paired with Alexa! I feel that we would have fun chatting over coffee together because we have so much in common! We can probably converse in our dialetc, too (our hometowns are a few hours away). We can gab about Disney Princesses, books, Harry Potter…..I don’t know… anything! XD
Do you want to meet anyone on my list? Who else do you want to meet for coffee or tea? Share your thoughts in the comments!
I quitted coffee last year, but we can still be friends and I’m going to attend your party, because OMG I love the guests! 😀
You are welcome to attend, Alice! You can have cake…or chocolate…and I’m sure my cafe has other types of beverages for you to enjoy!
Love this, Ezrah!! You be the loud and outgoing one, and I’ll be shy and awkward!
Cake and chocolate and COFFEE is definitely my thing. I’m at the cafe waiting for you guys, like right now. So just be warned that there may be no coffee left for you ;P
YAY Alexa’s there!
Also, can I hold Rufus?
Annika recently posted…Trigger Warning: Short fictions and disturbances by Neil Gaiman
Yes, you may hold Rufus! 🙂 I wish this series will get picked up again! I really enjoyed it!
